| BILL
HUBBARD, CHAIRMAN
Bill received his BS in Sport Management and MBA from the University
of Massachusetts, joining American Specialty Underwriters in 1989.
He became the Director of the Contingency Division in 1990 and was
named Senior Vice President of the Enterprise Division in 1992. When
the Enterprise Division became a separate corporate entity in 1997,
Bill became its President. When ASU Enterprises joined ASU LLC to
form ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters),
Bill was named President and CEO of the new company. Bill became Chairman in 2008.
MATT OVERLAN, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Matt received his BS in Accounting from Stonehill College in 1990 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts. He joined ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) in September 1998 as Controller after 8 years in public accounting where he specialized in insurance and retail. Matt became Chief Financial Officer in 2001 and assumed the additional responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer in 2004.
In 2008 Matt was named Chief Executive Officer.
MARC IDELSON, PRESIDENT AND CHIEF UNDERWRITING OFFICER
Marc received his BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1989. He has been in the insurance industry since 1989 joining ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) in 1990. Marc became Vice President in 1998 responsible for underwriting personal accident and contingency business and was promoted to Senior Vice President of North American Underwriting in 1999. In 2008 Marc was named President and Chief Underwriting officer.
JEFF MANGINI, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Jeff graduated from Merrimack College in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and received his MBA from Salem State College in 2004. Jeff joined ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) in 1998 and became Controller in 2004. In 2008, Jeff was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the overall management of the accounting group.
David Evans, Managing
Director – London Operations
David received a BCom Honours Degree from the University of
Birmingham and has been in the insurance industry since 1998. He has
spent time as a broker with Rattner Mackenzie Ltd., also a
subsidiary of HCC Insurance Holdings, where he was responsible for
the ASU International account (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) and
most recently was employed as an underwriter at RJ Kiln Syndicate at
Lloyd's. David joined HCC Specialty Underwriters in 2005 as Managing
Director of London Operations.
MARK BARRY, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT GLOBAL MARKETING
Mark is responsible for managing our Promotion/Integrated Marketing Division. He is a Board Member and the New England Chapter Chairperson of the Promotional Marketing Association. A frequent speaker on risk management issues that effect the integrated marketing industry, Mark joined ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) in 1992 and holds a BA from La Salle University.
JACK WOODBURY, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT – PROMOTIONS
Jack joined ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) in 1992. He specializes in the underwriting of sports bonus and promotional
insurance programming. He also performs the various statistical
analysis functions for the company. Jack holds a B.A. in Economics
from Amherst College and an M.S. in Sport Management from U Mass
Amherst.
Sean Curtin, Senior Vice
President – Events
As the Senior Vice President of HCC Specialty Underwriters' Events Division, Sean manages
the underwriting and daily operations of the TotalEvent products
suite. Sean earned a Bachelors Degree in 1990 majoring in Business
Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He has worked in
the specialty insurance industry for over 13 years. Prior to his
employment with ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters), Sean owned Weather Specialty Underwriters, a
boutique weather insurance operation. He joined ASU in 1998 and
established the company’s Weather Insurance and Special Event
Liability programs.
Brendon Bruner, Senior Vice President – High Limit Disability
Brendon graduated from Assumption College in 1994 with a B.A. in
Accounting. After graduating from college Brendon joined Weather
Specialty Underwriters and in 1998 joined ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) as a Sports
Underwriter. In 2001 Brendon was promoted to Vice President of
Sports Underwriting and in 2004 to Senior Vice President Sports
Underwriting. In 2005 Brendon was promoted to Senior Vice President
of the High Limit Disability Division.
Barry Aframe, Senior Vice
President – Legal Affairs
Barry graduated from Brown University and The University of
Pennsylvania Law School. He joined ASU International (now HCC Specialty Underwriters) in 2001 from Allmerica
Financial Corp. where was Vice President and Counsel, Head of the
Insurance Staff. He provides legal advice on underwriting, claims,
product development and litigation. He is a member of the Mass. and
Federal Bar. He has been a guest speaker at Sports Lawyers’
Association Conferences, the University of Miami Law School
Symposium on Entertainment and Sports Law and the American Bar
Association Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Continuing Legal
Education Conference.
FRED MILSTEIN, PRESIDENT – CINEFINANCE INSURANCE SERVICES, LLC
Fred began his career in the famous mailroom at the William Morris
Agency. He left as Vice President after 14 years, having represented
a broad roster of talented writers, producers and directors and went
on to hold various senior executive-level posts in film production,
including Executive Vice President of Production at Miramax Films.
While at Miramax, he supervised the production of the Academy Award
nominated films “Mr. and Mrs. Bridge” and “The Grifters.” Fred has a
wide breadth of experience in all aspects of the motion picture
packaging, financing and production and has served as President of
cineFinance since he established it in 1999. cineFinance was
acquired by HCC in December of 2004. He has a BA from the University
of Pennsylvania and attended graduate programs at both the Annenberg
School of Communications and the film school at the University of
Southern California.
Jim Berger, Senior Vice
President – HCC Specialty Underwriters of New York
Jim joined HCC Specialty Underwriters in early 2005 after 16 years
with Entertainment Risk Agency in New York (ERA). Jim established
the west coast office which became the leader in the marketplace,
insuring such high profile productions as Academy Award winners:
Titanic, American Beauty, Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, Moulin Rouge,
As Good as it Gets, Saving Private Ryan, Traffic and the Pianist.
In 1997, Jim transferred to Paris to establish ERA Europe, which
became one of the largest underwriters of films in France. Jim also
played a key role in ERA’s launch of cineFinance, which HCC acquired
in 2004. Jim holds a BS from Boston University.
Jennifer Voudrie, Senior Underwriter – Film Production
Jennifer received her BSBA in Marketing from the University of
Missouri, Columbia in 1992 while working for an insurance agency.
She joined Aon Risk Services in 1993 in their premier commercial
lines department and later became involved in their sports and
recreation division. She then transferred to their entertainment
division, Aon/Albert G. Ruben Insurance Services, to focus on
entertainment. In 1999, she took a position with Entertainment Risk
Agency as an Underwriter for film business. Jennifer joined HCC
Specialty Underwriters in 2005 as Senior Underwriter of film. |
